A little piece of an old French kitchen.
This vintage ceramic pot bears the wonderfully imperfect, hand-lettered words Herbes de Provence across its creamy surface—a simple reminder of the herbs and flavors that have long filled kitchens throughout the South of France.
Complete with its original fitted lid and petite side handles, it has the kind of humble character I’m always drawn to: useful pieces that were never meant to be precious, yet somehow become more beautiful with time.
I love it tucked among old cutting boards and wooden spoons, displayed on open kitchen shelving, or simply left on the counter as a small piece of Provence gathered into the home.
